Rewarding Ontario’s Next Leaders with Scholarships

Today Ontario’s College Student Alliance (CSA) proudly announced they are offering 17 annual scholarships to help students that display leadership qualities.
Applications opened today, and will continue until December 17th, 2010. Winners of each scholarship get a financial award of $1000.00, and will be honoured at the CSA annual May Changeover conference.
“This is an annual scholarship presented by the CSA Board of Directors to 17 outstanding individuals across the province, each of whom have volunteered with numerous organizations and have demonstrated outstanding leadership within their college communities,” said Justin Fox, President of the CSA.
The goal is to reward the achievement and hard work of next generation of Ontario’s leaders, according to Sheena Sonser, Vice President of CSA.
“The scholarships will be awarded to students who demonstrate exceptional merit without regard to financial need,” said Sonser.
“Far too often we are not aware of the hard work and dedication so many students put forth in support of their post-secondary institution and community. The CSA Scholarship will recognize and highlight their achievements.”
The CSA represents 17 colleges and over 135,000 full-time students in Ontario.
